Scrambled Sentences

This activity invites students to collaboratively reflect on their learning from the lesson and gives the teacher information about which learning goals have been internalized by the students.

Process

  1. Each person writes one word on a card or sticky note that illustrates the student’s learning.
  2. Ask students to form groups of 4-5 students.
  3. The group constructs a sentence that uses all the words, adding as few words as possible.
  4. A representative from each group reads the full sentence to the group or gives it to the teacher.
